Estate Planning and Administration
The services provided by the Estate Planning and Probate Administration Practice Group at Gordon, Muir & Foley, LLP include counseling in the areas of estate planning, elder law, Title XIX, disability entitlement, estate administration and probate litigation. In that regard, the firm prepares wills and trusts, powers of attorney and health care directives and assists clients in the application for Title XIX benefits where appropriate. The members of this practice group also serve as conservators for individuals who are found to lack capacity as well as provide legal counsel to individuals serving as conservators. The Firm's estate planning counseling includes advice on the tax aspects of the proposed estate plan to ensure that the maximum amount of a client's assets is preserved. The members of this practice group have extensive experience serving in the roles of fiduciary as well as counsel to fiduciaries and are skilled and experienced in the litigation of probate matters including will contests and claims against estates.
